Customers of route W12

  • At the moment, people travelling from Whipps Cross to Woodford need to change bus at Wanstead. If we were to restructure route W12 as proposed these journeys could be completed without the need to change bus.
  • Current users of route W12 would benefit from new travel opportunities to additional areas including Leyton, Wanstead and Woodford.
  • Some current journeys on route W12 would no longer be possible on one bus
  • People travelling to Walthamstow and other local destinations from Nightingale Lane and Snaresbrook Road would have to interchange between routes W14 and W12 at either Whipps Cross Interchange or South Woodford.
  • People using stops in Walthamstow Village would no longer have access to a bus service. Bus access from Walthamstow Village would be by foot, with up to a 500 metre walk to bus stops on Church Hill Road or Shernhall Street served by route W12 or on Hoe Street served by other routes.
