Route N91

Our proposals

Route N91 currently runs between Cockfosters Station and Trafalgar Square.

We propose to re-route the N91 via the Haringey Heartlands development instead of Turnpike Lane and Wood Green High Road. This would provide a new bus service through the centre of Haringey Heartlands, helping to ensure the development has access to the bus network at night.

The proposed changes apply to the section of the route between the Wightman Road bus stops on Turnpike Lane and Wood Green Station only.

The N91 would run on Hornsey Park Road, Clarendon Road, Mary Neuner Road, Western Road, Mayes Road and Station Road to Wood Green Station.

The existing routeing between Trafalgar Square and Turnpike Lane, and between Wood Green Station and Cockfosters Station would not change.

Current frequencies would remain as they are. Proposed bus stop names and locations are indicative for consultation purposes.

How these proposals may change your bus journey

  • Bus stops N and Q on Turnpike Lane and L, J, H, MA, K and G on Wood Green High Road would no longer be served by route N91. Existing customers would still be able to complete their journey to or from Turnpike Lane or Wood Green High Road on one bus but may be up to 700 metres further from their origin or destination. Alternatively, customers may be able to travel on route N29 to and from Wood Green High Road or route N41 to and from Turnpike Lane
  • Route N91 would newly serve existing stops A and B on Station Road at Wood Green. New bus stops in both directions are planned within Haringey Heartlands on Mary Neuner Road and Western Avenue, providing a connection to the nearby centres of Wood Green and Crouch End, as well as to and from central London
  • Route N29 would continue to provide direct links between central London (and Nag’s Head) and Wood Green High Road. Route N41 would continue to provide direct links between central London (and Nag’s Head) and Turnpike Lane
  • Customers using route N91 would have new direct night-time journey opportunities between Haringey Heartlands and Bounds Green, Arnos Green, Cockfosters and King’s Cross stations, including interchange with Night Tube at these locations
