    Places for London is refurbishing all 11 arches along Lockton Street, and improving the surrounding area and service yard that is accessed by Freston Road.

    Who have you appointed to complete the refurbishment?

    Places for London has appointed Spence Refit Ltd to complete the refurbishment.

    Why are you having to replace the frontages?

    The frontages do not meet the latest building safety regulations so we are installing new glazing and brickwork so that the arches are fully compliant and ready for new businesses to move into.

    How long will the refurbishment programme take?

    The refurbishment is expected to start by mid-September, and will be complete in 2026.

    Why has it taken you so long to start?

    Places for London wanted to ensure we appointed the right contractor and that the project was viable before starting the refurbishment.

    Who will move into the arches when the refurbishment is complete?

    More information about the future use of the arches will be shared in Autumn 2025, however Places for London will be ensuring occupiers provide a diverse range of services and products that complement one another and the wider area.
