Share Are there proposals to increase the frequency of the 229 bus route, which will be the only bus route to cover the residential bus stops that will be skipped by an SL11 express services? At the moment the 229 route does not run to a tight schedule, and without the 472, there would be difficulty for disabled or elderly passengers, which may need to travel to either Abbey Wood, or into Woolwich. on Facebook Share Are there proposals to increase the frequency of the 229 bus route, which will be the only bus route to cover the residential bus stops that will be skipped by an SL11 express services? There are not plans to make changes to other local bus routes as part of the proposal for the 472 and the SL11.
We continuously review and adapt the London bus network to reflect changing customer needs. If, following consultation, we decide to proceed to introduce the SL11 then bus services in the area would be closely monitored to ensure frequencies are adequate to meet demand.

There are not plans to further revise what is proposed for the SL11 at this stage. However we are actively seeking your views. Public consultation invites respondents to formally submit views related to bus stop locations for the SL11 and we would encourage you to take part in our consultation survey and suggest your ideas.

The SL11 is not proposed to operate through the night.
Between approximately 00:00 and 05:00, a standard night bus service is proposed to operate, which would be numbered N472. The N472 would continue to serve all existing stops on the current route 472, including to North Greenwich.
