What’s the justification for reducing disabled parking on this part of Red Route, which is full of shops and places I need to go?
The existing bays do not get used for the purpose they are meant to serve. A kerbside survey showed that for a majority of the time, the bays are used by non-blue badge holders and non-delivery drivers. The survey showed there is little use of the bays by blue-badge holders. There is disabled parking nearby on Bruce Grove and Stoneleigh Road.

How does increasing the size of the bus cage make any difference? Especially when the traffic is already at a standstill
An extended bus cage will allow buses to join a designated stop early when there is traffic. This in turn will facilitate passengers to board and alight buses safely.
