Welcome to Have your say

Our role

We are the Mayor’s integrated transport authority. We run the Capital's public transport network and manage London's main roads. We are also one of London’s largest landowners. We play a vital role in creating new homes and jobs, as well as connecting people with the things that matter to them.

What is Have your say?

We want to help London thrive, but we need to hear your voice so we can plan, build and deliver transport that supports the needs of everyone living and working here.

Have your say is your space to share your ideas on our plans and proposals.

How does it work?

We may have three different types of conversation with you about our projects and policies. We won’t always use all three conversations for every project. The conversation will depend on the type and scale of the project or policy. We’ll also consider where we are in the life of a project – from initial idea generation, all the way through to final design and implementation.

Whatever the conversation, we’ll use your feedback and views to inform our decisions.

Every time you use Have your say, we’ll let you know what type of conversation we’re having. This will be shown on the right-hand side of each specific page, using these icons:

Types of conversation

Discuss - We want to discuss our plans and proposals with you to help us develop better solutions. Like asking your thoughts on how we should address an issue, such as how to improve cycling safety in an area. We’ll often continue to seek your views once projects are launched across London’s streets and public transport network, so we can check how we’re doing, identify any issues and make changes if needed.

Consult - We’ll use the platform to consult you about our projects and proposals. The feedback we receive through consultation will be summarised in a published report along with our responses. This will be reviewed by our decision makers to make sure your views are considered.

Inform - We will often use the platform to inform you of updates on our work or what the next steps are on our projects. When we do this, there will always be an opportunity to ask us questions.

How to register and participate

Simply select the register button on the home page and add your contact information to join.

Please note you will need to set up a new Have your say account. Any current Contactless and Oyster or London Road User Charging account log-ins will not work.

Once you’ve done that, just select a topic or project you are interested in and use the tools to submit your ideas and feedback.

Just like on most internet forums or comment pages, any comment you post through Have your say is available here for other people to read. The exception is when you complete a survey, where your responses to a survey questionnaire will be logged and reviewed by us. It won't be published live on the website.

If you’d like to communicate with us directly, or want more information on anything you’ve read here, please get in touch with us at Haveyoursay@tfl.gov.uk
