On 1 September 2024, we introduced a new bus route. Route 310 is now operating between Golders Green and Stamford Hill Broadway. The new route is serving Hampstead Way, Highgate Village, Whittington Hospital, Archway Station, Crouch Hill station, Finsbury Park, Manor House station, Stamford Hill station and Stamford Hill Broadway.
Route 310 is operating along the same route as the 210 from Golders Green station to Finsbury Park station and serve mainly the same stops, the exception being around Finsbury Park station. From Finsbury Park station, route 310 operates along the same route as the 253 to Stamford Hill Broadway, serving mainly the same stops.
Route 310 is operating every day of the week, every 20 minutes between 07:00 and 19:00. The routes will use single deck buses.
The route is initially running on a trial basis for at least 12 months.
Why?
We have received requests for a direct bus service to operate between Golders Green and Stamford Hill for many years, from members of the public and local community leaders and stakeholders.
Following meetings with the local community during the elections, the Mayor asked us to look at a way to provide a bus service with direct links between Golders Green and Stamford Hill.
We have introduced a through service between Golders Green and Stamford Hill. All other routes will continue to run as now.
The route trial
Route 310 is going to run as a trial for 12 months. We will monitor passenger numbers and journey patterns plus feedback from the community and bus users to evaluate if it is a viable route that benefits the local community and that people use.
The consultation exercise
We are running this consultation alongside the trial to get passenger and community feedback. We will also be carrying out onboard surveys and community engagement to understand people’s views.
During the consultation period we would like your views on the route itself. Is it serving the right areas? Operating at the right times? Providing a real alternative to using private vehicles for journeys? Please complete our survey to let us know.
We want to speak to and get as many views as possible to this consultation. This would give us the wider community view. To do this, we are:
- Carrying out an online consultation
- Carrying out on bus surveys
- Attending local community events
- Talking to local community groups
- Talking to local authorities and elected members about the trial.
