    When Will the extension happen?

    Tyler asked 27 days ago

    Dear Tyler

    Thank you for your question.

We anticipate the extension would start operating in early 2025. This is dependant on the outcome of this consultation exercise, should the extension be adopted as consulted upon and not change in any way.

    Thank you

    Thank you for your question.

The scheme proposal envisions the 241 will no longer enter Stratford City bus station and instead serve stops on Montfichet Road. Please provide feedback on you would like to see and why you believe it should happen in the consultation. You can do this in the 'Tell us your views' button on the consultation web pages.

How will the bus be diverted in case of events at the Olympic Park like West Ham United Football Games?

DBI asked about 1 month ago

    Thank you for your question.

Based on information available now; if access to Carpenters Road is maintained before/ during/ after events in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park or at the London Stadium then the route will not be diverted as a result of events taking place.

However if access to Carpenters Road is restricted, then the planned diversion route will be as follows:  From Stratford City Bus Station, turn left onto Montfitchet Road, then turn left onto International Way. Then turn right onto Waterden Road and carry on along Waterden Road to pick up the route at the junction with Marshgate Lane, from there continue on Waterden Road to Here East. This potential diversion route avoids Carpenters Road.

Please note the final route of the 241 is subject to the consultation, this also applies to any potential diversion routes that may be needed in the future.

Any decision on diversion(s) for the 241 bus route, should it be extended as per the consultation will be taken by West Ham United FC and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park managing authority, who are the LLDC (London Legacy Development Corporation) who act as the planning authority for the area around and including Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

    Kind regards

    TfL Consultation team
