Why are these changes being proposed?
There is surplus capacity on the bus network between Elephant & Castle and Tulse Hill. Our proposal has been designed to address excess capacity on the Elephant & Castle – Brixton – Tulse Hill corridors while simplifying the network, adding capacity where needed and reducing operating costs.
What will happen to route 415?
Route 415 would be withdrawn. However, bus route 333 would be extended to run between Elephant & Castle and Old Kent Road (Tesco) which would run on the current route 415 routeing between Elephant & Castle and Old Kent Road (Tesco).

We are proposing to extend bus route 333 from Elephant & Castle to Old Kent Road (Tesco) via New Kent Road and Bricklayers Arms at the same time as bus route 415 is withdrawn. This would:
How were these proposals developed?
The proposals were developed using passenger usage data, operational performance reviews, and feedback from previous consultations. We’ve also considered stakeholder input and have conducted an initial Equality Impact Assessment to understand how different groups may be affected.
