What is the Superloop?

The Superloop is made up of express bus routes some of which join together to circle the entire capital, connecting key outer London town centres, stations, and transport hubs. It’s designed to provide quicker journey times with routes stopping less frequently, while serving key places such as town centres, hospitals, schools, and transport interchanges.

Are changes to other bus routes in the area proposed as part of the plan to introduce the SL13 route?

As explained in more detail in the ‘Proposals’ section of this page, we would consider reviewing the frequency of routes 112 and 232 should we decide to introduce route SL13 to ensure bus services in the area would continue to reflect changing customer needs. Frequency changes are not within the scope of consultation. These form part of our continual review of the London bus network.

If you decide to introduce the SL13 route, when would the service start to operate?

Subject to the outcome of consultation, we may introduce the SL13 during 2026.

What other new routes are planned as part of Superloop expansion?

The SL13 route proposal is the fourth of six consultations launched this year as part of plans to expand the Superloop express bus network

During 2025 we have concluded three public consultations. We have confirmed our intention to introduce new Superloop routes BL1 and SL11
