Our Youth Panel is a voice for young people in London's transport, and we're looking for new members to join.

If you’re aged 16-25 and want to help shape the future of transport in London, we want to hear from you.

More than 30% of London's population is under 25 years old, so it’s important that transport works for young Londoners of all backgrounds.

Being on the Youth Panel is a really exciting opportunity. You can expect to…

• Share your views and come up with new solutions to transport issues
• Be a champion for young people in London
• Represent TfL at events and meet people from all around London

Projects we have worked on include...

• Our new Superloop bus network in outer London
• Solutions to social issues with transport like the cost of living crisis
• 12-month research project and final report on how we can improve the sustainability of our transport network
• Workshops on how young people walk and cycle around London
• Helping improve our Travel For Life education programmes at schools in London

So what do you get out of it?

• Develop your knowledge of transport and cities, and skills in leadership, debating, presenting, problem solving and teamwork in a fun environment
• Meet other young people from across London with a passion for improving London’s transport system
• Gain a behind-the-scenes understanding of TfL, with the opportunity to work with TfL teams and shape projects before they’re launched

How it works

• We meet every two months in-person on a weeknight evening. Each meeting involves workshops on different TfL projects.
• We expect our members to be able to come to every meeting (where possible).
• We also stay in touch in between the meetings. We frequently have opportunities to get involved with different TfL projects on an ad-hoc basis.
• You will need to commit to attending the panel for at least one year. You can be a member of the panel for a maximum of three years.
