Proposals

Bus route 350 currently operates between Heathrow Terminal 5 and Station Road/Millington Road in the London Borough of Hillingdon.

We are proposing to reroute the 350 south of Hayes and Harlington Station to serve Nestles Avenue, instead of continuing to Fairey Corner and Millington Road.

Our aim is to bring homes closer to the London bus network and provide a quick link to Hayes and Harlington Station for national rail and Elizabeth line services. This includes new homes as part of the Hayes Village development.

Nestles Avenue

If we were to reroute the 350 as proposed, subject to agreement with the London Borough of Hillingdon, the following changes to the road layout would be needed along Nestles Avenue:

  • A new pair of bus stops at the approximate locations of Sandow Crescent, towards North Hyde Road, and Black Rod Close, towards Station Road
  • A new bus stop and bus stand with space for buses to turn and bus driver facilities at the eastern end of the road
  • Changes to the traffic restriction at the junction of Nestles Avenue and Station Road to allow buses to make a right turn. The current left turn only restriction for all other vehicles would remain

Yes, please reroute the 350 route. The Nestle Avenue residents need a public transport on this road. The road is ignored and we residents have to walk too much. There are too many buses passing by Fairey corner n it’s only fair to let us have one bus dedicated to the residents of Hayes village (L&Q / Barrett's) and others around the vicinity.

Off -street parking should be restricted on this road as all local residents have their own parking. We also need proper traffic enforcement cameras on this road to ensure parking rules are adhered to.

Furthermore the road is extremely secluded and walking alone down it, especially during the dark winters, very eerie. Having a public bus on this route will make it safer for commuting and more convenient for residents.

I agree with the rerouting of bus
350. This will greatly benefit new residents of the old Nestle site as well as existing residents on Nestles Ave. However, although Blyth and Clayton Roads on the opposite side of the railway have multiple new developments and the residents that they will bring, there is still no proposal for any rerouting to serve the Record Factory estate which is also a fair walk from Hayes and Harlington station and Hayes Town. Sending at least one bus down these roads would benefit the residents as well as slightly relieve congestion in town, especially as there are multiple routes which do, and still would, serve the town centre.

Please reroute the bus as it would make the many residents who live on nestle avenues lives easier. It is a very long road and therefore very month to get anywhere from there. It would be very nice if the 350 was rerouted and brought to nestle avenue as most buses already go to Hayes Asda.

It would be best for the bus to be extended along North Hyde Road instead of along Nestles Ave, as this would minimise disruption to journeys to/from Asda and still provide good links to residents SE of the station.

This would make the bus much easier to use as well, sharing the stops with 195 so residents can wait for the bus far more easily and be more willing to take the bus. This routing will also allow residents South of North Hyde Road to use the bus more easily.

Upon checking Google Streetview, Nestles Ave also seems too narrow for a bus to go down and difficult for the bus to turn around, making it prone to congestion and unreliability. North Hyde Road is much more convenient for buses to use and 350s can turn around using the roundabout with The Parkway. More buses on North Hyde Road can also allow bus lanes to be introduced, making the bus even more attractive.

I love the Route exactly as is. As a frequent user of the 350 at those stops, it works greatly to my benefit that it starts outside Asda.

The 350 bus route should not be changed. It is the only connection to Heathrow Terminal 5 from Fairy Corner. The current route is also meant to provide connectivity to the ASDA surperstore.

An alternative, new service, should be started to connect all the new homes coming up at Nestles Avenue. This feedback was provided during consultations prior to granting of planning to all the new homes coming up there.

The same feedback applies to all the homes that have come up on Blyth Road.
