Route 310 Holloway Nags Head

Proposals

We announced a number of changes as a result of the route 310 trial and consultation which will be introduced as part of the new contract later this year. These are:

• Running the service later in the day across all days of the week
• Extending the service to Rookwood Road, and
• Maintaining the frequency of a bus running every 20 minutes

We are now proposing to re-route the 310 via Holloway, Nag’s Head, instead of via Stroud Green Road, at Finsbury Park – please see the map below for further details:

Re-routeing the 310 via Holloway, Nag’s Head would create new connections to Holloway Road, Seven Sisters Road, Tollington Road and Isledon Road, increasing the number of people who could benefit from the new links. It’s also expected that journey times would be faster for passengers already using the service between Stamford Hill and Golders Green.

Buses in London

London’s bus network is our most affordable, accessible, and available form of public transport. It offers the main sustainable alternative to cars for those journeys that cannot easily be walked or cycled.

We continuously review and adapt the bus network to reflect changing customer needs. This includes proposing changes to existing bus routes, so services operate in areas where our customers need them most.

How it impacts you

We have conducted an Equality Impact Assessment on this proposal and it has highlighted the following findings:

Positive impacts

• Re-routeing via Holloway would generate new links
• It is expected that journey times between Stamford Hill and Golders Green would also decrease
• The proposals provide new direct journey opportunities, removing the need for some passengers to change between buses. In turn, journey times would reduce for some passengers
• Passengers would be able to make a direct journey later into the evening, reducing the need to interchange in hours of darkness

Negative impacts

• Some passengers who have used the route during the trial period to travel to and from the section between Archway and Finsbury Park would need to change bus in future as they would have done before the trial. Route 210 would continue to serve the roads between Finsbury Park and Archway.

These proposals are subject to the outcome of our consultation. Once consultation ends on 6 March 2026, we will spend time considering all the responses we receive and will prepare a consultation report.

The consultation report will help us reach a decision about whether to proceed with the proposals, amend them or not take them forward.
