By clicking on each of the buttons below, you can read more about what is proposed and how this may impact you. You can also view maps, ask questions, give feedback, and find out about other ways to get in touch and take part.

You have until 13 December 2024 to give us your feedback.

Why?

Before March 2022, route 452 operated between Kensal Rise Station and Vauxhall Bus Station. Between March and August 2022, urban realm works took place at the Kensal Rise bus stand and as a result, route 452 was temporarily curtailed to Ladbroke Grove Sainsbury’s and this has continued.

Route 52 operates between Willesden Bus Garage and Victoria Bus Station. Routes 52 and 452 share the same route alignment between Knightsbridge Station and Ladbroke Grove Sainsbury’s. Routes 52 and 452 both operate every 10 minutes during the day Monday to Saturday with extra services provided in the weekday morning peak on route 52 towards Victoria. Where routes 52 and 452 operate along the same roads, at the busiest time of the day, there is a bus every 4 minutes.

Although passenger numbers have increased on route 452 since 2021, they are still down on numbers before the pandemic. The current passenger numbers at the busiest time of day require a bus every 8-9 minutes between Knightsbridge and Ladbroke Grove Sainsbury’s.

We are proposing to change route 452 to operate between Vauxhall and Notting Hill Gate and to mitigate this, we are proposing to run an extra journey on route 52 in the evening peak to match passenger demand.

This change would also help us manage our resources better to match passenger demand on the bus network. A map showing the proposed changes to route 452 can be seen below.
